QSAR Application Toolbox Training

The first North American training course for use of OECD's QSAR Application Toolbox will be held in Baltimore, MD on October 5-8, 2009. We are pleased to announce a two-day Basic Training Course on 5-6 October 2009 and a two-day Advanced Training Course on 7-8 October 2009. The Basic Course is a prerequisite to the Advanced Course.

The initial Toolbox is available as a free download from the OECD website, but the latest Toolbox models and databases will be configured on participantsí PCs at the workshop as part of the registration fee. The International QSAR Foundation is offering the training workshops with instructors who are also the Toolbox developers for REACH. The registration fee for each course is $2000 for industry trainees and $1350 for government and university trainees, payable upon registration. Trainees must provide their own laptop computers and make their own travel and lodging arrangements. Registration is limited to 20 for each course and offered on a first-come first-served basis.

To register, please go to the registration page and complete the form for the specific course(s) (BASIC and/or ADVANCED) you wish to take. Registrants canceling with more than 30 daysí advance notice will receive a full refund, but those who cancel within 30 days of October 5 will not be refunded.

The International QSAR Foundation is coordinating with OECD, the developer of the Toolbox, and local organizers to make Toolbox training available on a cost-recovery basis.
